Bash
Bash Employee Training Campaign 2024
How Bash turned employee training into a measurable sales driver through gamified engagement.

The Context
Bash needed to strengthen commercial performance within its BashStore Device and Incentive Programme by increasing employee adoption and ongoing usage of the BashStore app. The objective was simple but important: empower store employees to become confident, motivated sellers who actively use the platform to support customer engagement and drive sales outcomes.
While the BashStore app already existed as a valuable sales enablement tool, its full potential depended on consistent employee participation and practical day-to-day usage.
The Challenge
The BashStore app was available, but it was not being fully utilised. Many employees lacked confidence in how to use the platform effectively, creating a gap between the app’s intended value and its real-world impact.
Traditional training approaches existed, but they were not driving sustained behavioural change. Static manuals and once-off workshops delivered information, but struggled to maintain engagement, motivation, or ongoing participation over time.
Without continuous interaction and reinforcement, employees disengaged quickly, limiting adoption of the platform and reducing the programme’s broader commercial impact.
The Approach
Hailr developed a progressive web app experience delivered through a WhatsApp-led activation, designed not as a once-off training intervention, but as an ongoing employee engagement ecosystem.
The platform combined education, engagement, motivation, and incentives into a connected digital experience:
Educational content was delivered through quizzes, videos, and interactive knowledge carousels, transforming training into repeatable and trackable learning experiences
Gamified mechanics encouraged employees to return regularly and spend more time engaging with the platform
Hidden “secret codes” and exploration-based challenges encouraged hands-on interaction with the BashStore app itself
Leaderboards, rewards, and sales-linked incentives reinforced motivation and recognised top-performing users
Surveys and feedback mechanisms generated valuable first-party employee insight while measuring engagement trends and participation patterns
Every interaction was measurable, giving Bash visibility into learning progression, engagement behaviour, and employee participation in real time.
The experience shifted training from passive content consumption into an interactive, reward-driven engagement journey.
The Results
Across the campaign period, the platform delivered:
Strong employee participation and repeat engagement across multiple sessions
High levels of gameplay and interaction, demonstrating sustained interest rather than once-off activity
Meaningful session depth and ongoing platform usage over time
Improved learning outcomes through repeated interaction with educational content
Increased participation in sales-related activity linked directly to platform engagement
Valuable first-party employee insight generated through surveys, quizzes, and behavioural tracking
The campaign successfully connected engagement, learning, and sales activity into one measurable ecosystem.
